Life is crazy

I can see it’s been a while since I’ve posted in here, so it’s time for an update!

Right now all I can say is “I’M BACK” !! I recently quit a full time job to fully lean back into making ceramics this holiday season. This balance of working for someone else and or fully doing my own thing has been a constant struggle in my life, and I don’t know if I’ll ever totally figure it out. BUT it is important to me that I ride the waves, ebbs, and flows of what is good for me when it is good. I will probably never fully be happy working for someone else , and I lose my mind after enough time of just pushing myself to make all my own business the main income. I know many friends who have been through the same struggles and it reallllly takes a toll on our brains! Cheers to riding another wave of self employment !!

I spent the last year grinding away at a full time job so that I could prove to a mortgage company that they could loan me the money to buy a house, and it worked! I got my house, moved my ceramics studio into the basement and I’m back at the self employment life. It’s been a funny adjustment, but it has been amazing to just take a step back from a stressful job and reprogram my brain, a process that has really tested me ha.

The daily this and thats of the job actually gave me bilateral tendonitis, so for most of this year I was unable to use my hands to even get into my studio and work on anything. It feels so good to have my hands back and to have time to be creative in the studio again!!

Photography session

Using my friend Amanda Guerra’s expertise and equipment, I was able to have a very extensive photo session for the first time in the history of my dirt career. I took this opportunity to photograph and document my collection of work and was very happy with the results.
